Greenhouse Top Grow Light Series – 250W / 320W

This is a die-cast top light: a single 1200 mm body, 218 diodes, 220 V input and IP65 sealing, built to hang above the crop in a greenhouse rather than to sit close to it. The die-cast housing gives it the rigidity needed for overhead mounting and for cleaning between cycles.

Two power tiers are listed, 250W and 320W, and the diode brand is offered as a choice of Samsung, Sanan or Osram. Output is published at 5000 lm with PPE at 3.0 µmol/J, and greenhouse layouts are normally designed from the per-tier photometric report, which is supplied with the quotation.

Certification is CE and the housing is die-cast aluminium. Input is 220 V, which suits European and Asian supplies; for North American 120 V or 277 V distribution the driver option is specified with the order.

What is a greenhouse top light expected to do that an indoor fixture does not?

Work alongside daylight rather than replace it. A top light in a greenhouse is sized to lift the daily light integral on cloudy days and to extend the photoperiod in winter, so a 250W bar is a supplement to the sun, not the primary source.

What output does the 250W build quote?

3.0 µmol/J PPE on a 250W and 320W platform. Efficacy is the number that matters in a greenhouse, because every watt is competing with free daylight - a fixture at 3.0 µmol/J needs fewer running hours to add the same photons.

How long is the fixture and how does it mount?

1200 mm, IP65, designed to hang on greenhouse truss above the crop row. That length matches a standard 1.2 m bay spacing, so one fixture per bay is the usual layout rather than a grid of shorter units.

Why IP65 for a greenhouse in particular?

Because greenhouses run at high humidity with condensation dripping from the glazing, and many are washed down between crops. IP65 allows a directed hose and full dust sealing, which an IP54 fixture in the same position does not.

What voltage does it run on?

220V. That is a single-voltage build rather than a wide-range one, so it suits European and Asian greenhouse supplies and needs a step-up arrangement on a 120V North American circuit.

What is the rated life?

50,000 hours, which is the higher figure across our range and appropriate for a fixture that may run 16-18 hours a day through a winter season.

The 320W version is listed too - which should I take?

The choice comes down to bay height and target DLI rather than price. Tell us the crop, the glazing transmission and the latitude of the site and we will recommend one; if you are unsure, the 250W is the more conservative starting point for a 1.2 m bay.
