150W Intercanopy & Under Canopy Grow Light

The three-sided emission is the point of this fixture. A single-sided bar lights one face of a row; this one throws light sideways and downward from three faces, so a bar dropped between two rows serves both of them. That is what makes it useful as intercanopy lighting rather than as a narrow top light.

The body is 1156 mm long, 97.5 mm wide and 87.6 mm tall at 3 kg, in a PC and aluminium construction rated IP65 — appropriate for the humidity found close to the crop. Output is 18,000 lm at 120 lm/W from a mix of 6500K white, 660 nm red and 730 nm infrared, which keeps the spectrum cool-white weighted with both red ends supplied.

Dimming is a rotary dimmer on the fixture. Two mounting kits are listed: a hanging rope version and a bracket version for floor or frame mounting. Certification is CE, quoted with certificate reference NTC-SC2512022. Because the fixture is designed to sit inside the canopy, plan spacing from the row geometry rather than from the ceiling grid.

Where is an intercanopy fixture mounted, exactly?

Inside the canopy, hung at or below the top third of the plant, angled toward the lower leaves - not above it like a top light in an indoor growing room. A 1156 mm bar is long enough to run between two rows of plants so the light reaches the leaves that a top light never touches.

What output does the 150W version deliver?

450 µmol/s PPF at 3.0 µmol/J PPE. That is a high efficacy figure for a 150W fixture, which matters in intercanopy work because the fixture is running in a shaded, low-airflow zone where waste heat is a real problem.

What spectrum does it use?

6500K white with 660nm red and 730nm far-red as the standard build, and the spectrum is customizable. The 660nm red carries the flowering response of the lower canopy, while 730nm far-red is included for the shade-avoidance and flowering-timing response that matters when light is delivered from below and within.

How does a 270-degree beam behave inside a canopy?

It spreads light across a wider arc rather than firing a narrow cone, which is what you want when leaves sit both to the side and below the fixture. A narrow beam inside a canopy produces a bright strip and dark gaps; the wider distribution evens that out.

How is it mounted and controlled?

Either by lifting rope or by snap-on screw bracket, with two brackets available as an option. Dimming is by knob dimmer or the manual controller supplied with the fixture, and an RJ14 network cable is included so several units can be linked.

IP65 for a fixture that lives under the canopy - why does that matter?

Because it is the wettest, most enclosed position in the room: irrigation emitters, runoff and poor airflow all sit at that height. IP65 allows a directed wash-down, which is not true of an IP54 fixture in the same position.

Can I get a different length or wattage for my room layout?

Yes. Length, wattage, spectrum and mounting hardware are all open for OEM orders, and the bracket and rope options exist precisely because mounting varies between trellis, pot and gutter systems. Send the row spacing and we will propose a length.
